Privacy Policy

The short version: Biolink is built so we can't see your health data. It lives encrypted on hardware you own, and it never reaches our servers — we don't have servers that could hold it.

1. Your health data

All health information you bring into Biolink — wearable data, meals, supplements, medications, labs, journal entries, and anything else — is stored encrypted at rest on your own node. It is never transmitted to Biolink Health. There are no Biolink accounts, no cloud sync, and no telemetry containing health information. An egress control in the software structurally blocks health data from leaving your node.

2. Third-party services you connect

Some features involve services you choose to connect. Each is optional and consent-gated:

  • Wearable providers (Oura, Whoop, Garmin, Fitbit, and others) — you authorize Biolink to fetch your data from their APIs using your own credentials. Their privacy policies govern their services.
  • AI — health-data inference runs locally on your node or on private hardware you own. If you connect a frontier AI (such as Claude or ChatGPT), it is your own account reading through scoped, read-only, audited MCP tools that you can revoke at any time. Biolink never transmits your health data to a cloud it operates.
  • Knowledge lookups — optional health-education, weather, and news lookups send sanitized topic strings only, never identifiers or health data.

3. This website

This site does not require an account and does not collect health information. If you contact us by email or through the contact form, we receive the information you include and use it only to respond.

4. Backups

Backups are single archives created on your node, containing your data and keys. They exist only where you copy them. We never receive them.

5. Children

Biolink is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

6. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above. Because your data lives on your hardware, a policy change can never retroactively grant us access to it.
